Joann Steinmeier - 59th State Assembly District Joann Steinmeier is a successful small businesswoman and a recognized state leader on education issues. Joann serves as Chief Operating Officer of microJoining Solutions, a high-tech firm that works with New Economy businesses to develop new products.

Joann is also a ten-year member of the Arcadia School Board. in 1997, Joann was appointed by Governor Pete Wilson to represent California's schools as a member of the powerful Commission on State Mandates. She has also represented all San gabriel valley school districts as a longtime member of the Board of Directors of the California School Association (CSBA).

Joann is a native daughter of the San Gabriel Valley and has been a longtime community volunteer, having served in a variety of roles including as a Board Member for the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce and for the Arcadia Church of the Good Shepherd.

The Assembly District includes the communities of Arcadia, Bradbury, Claremont, Covina, Duarte, Glendora, La Verne, Monrovia, San Dimas, and Sierra Madre
