Illegal ImmigrationBy Robert C. "Bob" HarbichtCandidate for Member of the State Assembly; District 59 | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Virtually every problem facing our state is impacted by illegal immigration. No matter which issue I discuss with the voters, illegal immigration has an impact. Think about the problems facing our state. Air pollution, water quality, education, crime, traffic, affordable housing. Are any of these helped by more people pouring into our state every year? Of course not! It is time for our representatives to force the federal government to face up to their responsibility. They secured the borders of Kuwait in two weeks, but they haven't been able to secure our borders in 25 years! Either the government must secure our borders or repay California taxpayers for the terrible burden we have been shouldering for so long. If our tax dollars we spent addressing the problems of the legal residents of this state, California would be a paradise. The answer is not to spend more of our hard-earned money on taxes, but to spend it properly. |
