Present I.M.F. system in international trade is wrecking our foreign markets and high paying jobs for American workers.
The present International Monetary Fund (IMF) system of international trade must be replaced forthwith, if we are to avoid disaster. Present policies of the IMF shut down national economies instead of building them up. After WWII, the Brettore Woods agreements in international trade built a new successful world economy out of the ruins of war. The Brettore Woods system had fixed exchange rates which prevented speculation. The floating exchange rates we have now allow speculators in national currencies to reap windfall profits while putting millions of people out of work as they did in Indonesia. The present system wrecks markets for our capital goods exports and destroys high paying jobs for American workers.
