United States Representative; District 27

Ted Brown was born in 1960 in Steubenville, Ohio. He moved with his family to Wheeling, West Virginia, in 1970. He graduated from Linsly Military Institute in 1978. After attending Wesleyan University in Connecticut for one year, Brown moved to Los Angeles in 1979 and has lived in Southern California ever since. He graduated from UCLA in 1984, with a B. A. in political science with a concentration in Constitutional Law.

Since then Brown has worked in the insurance industry, and is currently an independent adjuster/investigator handling auto, property and construction defect cases.

Brown was married in 1984 to Laura Belcher, a native of Wichita Falls, Texas. The couple has one daughter, Katie, age 7.

Ted Brown has been active in the Libertarian Party his entire adult life. He previously served as state chairman and is currently Southern California Vice-Chairman.
