Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Bradford Lyau

Candidate for
Democratic Party Central Committee; County of San Mateo; Supervisorial District 2

This information is provided by the candidate

I am a Democrat because the Democratic Party is always willing to do the hard work.

The Republicans once gave us "trickle-down economics" and now "compassionate conservatism"--two slogans that really mean, 'Sure, things are unfair, but there is not much that we as a nation can do about it.'

But Democrats say "No!" to that. In the past seven decades the Democrats have produced the New Deal, the Fair Deal, the New Frontier, the Great Society, and the emphasis on civil rights, health care rights, and workers' rights.

Democrats are always ready to roll up our sleeves and work hard to make our society a better one. Not with empty slogans, but with programs which challenge the best that is within each and everyone of us.

And when Democrats mean a better society, they mean a better society for everyone.

If I am elected to the San Mateo County Central Committee, it is this tradition of inclusion and hard work that I will bring with me to the table.

I will work hard keep the White House in Democratic hands and return both houses of Congress to Democratic majorities.

Thank you for your vote.
