As a candidate for the Open Space Authority, I am committed to acquiring and preserving a regional greenbelt of open space land; and to protecting and restoring the natural environment.

As a businessman and community activist, I have the acumen to explore all possible financial resources and to make prudent investments needed to preserving, protecting and restoring our natural environment. I, also, value good fiscal and operational management.

As a teacher, I have always taught my students the importance of the environment, and to preserve our land for future generations.

Building on more than three decades of local community leadership, I will advocate strengthening relationships and partnerships with the Open Space Authority and our schools, community groups, agricultural interests, homeowners, business, labor and governmental agencies. The time to save the residuum of open space in the Valley of Heart's Delight is now. ONCE WE LOSE OUR OPEN SPACE, IT IS LOST FOREVER.

The Open Space Authority deserves the attention of an experienced professional who understands how to balance a budget and make prudent investments.

Supervisors Gage, Alvarado, Beall, McHugh and Simitian; Mayors Kennedy of Morgan Hill and Manayan of Milpitas; S. J. Council Members Chavez and Powers; Commissioners Barone, Borelli, Boyd, Brezzo, Guglielmo and Stampolis; and School Board Member Carr, neighbors and friends endorse me because they know I can work with all groups to get the job done!
