It is my belief that the office of Member of the Central Committee is best fulfilled by one who will work to register Republicans, to help get out the vote. In addition, it is important that the Member work to support Republican candidates with whatever efforts are needed. I will continue to do this as I have done in the past. We need to support people's efforts to make better lives for themselves and their children. Supporting true quality public education is one way that we can do that. As a former teacher, this area is very close to my heart; I want to see all the children given the opportunity to be "all that they can be". I feel the Republican party needs to reach out to other voters so that they realize that women and minorities are important members of the Party whose opinions must be heard. A wider membership must be empowered within the Party. In addition, the Party needs to better explain its views on limiting federal power and bringing power to local people. We here in Santa Barbara County understand our own needs and desires better that anyone in Washington |
