QUALIFICATIONS

As a member of the Elk Grove/Laguna community for over 24 years, I strive to improve our quality of life by remaining involved in several community organizations. I am committed to serving you, the public, through my 15 year career as a decorated Sergeant with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department and as an elected official to the Elk Grove Community Services District (EGCSD) Board of Directors for over 9 years. As demonstrated below, my experience, education and qualifications are unique and will prove vital to the future success of our great city.

• Elected Director to the Elk Grove Community Services District in 1990, 1994, and 1998 garnering the top vote in these elections
• Serve as President of the Elk Grove Community Services District in 1993 and 1997
• Board member of the Sacramento Regional Fire/EMS Communications Center
• Board member of the Elk Grove Senior Center
• Member of the Elk Grove/Laguna Community Action Panel
• Prior appointment to the Franklin/Laguna Area Community Planning Advisory Council (FLACPAC) 1988
• Master's degree in Organizational Business Management
• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice Management
• Completed the Revenue Resource and Marketing Management School, University of San Diego
• Graduate of Elk Grove High School
• Resident of Elk Grove for over 13 years
• Resident of Laguna for over 11 years
• Children attend Elk Grove Unified School District schools
• Received Sacramento County Sheriff's Department Life Saving Medal for saving the life of a one year old baby
• Received a Secret Service commendation award for investigating and arresting gang members involved in a $500,000 business fraud ring
• Received "Celebrate Parks" award for the development and implementation of the Neighborhood Accountability Board
• Implemented the "Every 15 minute Program"
• Implemented Late Night Basketball for our youth
