ECONOMICS

By Robert Russo

Candidate for Mayor; City of Bakersfield

This information is provided by the candidate
ATTRACTING BUSINESS TO OUR COMMUNITY THAT WANT TO STAY IN BAKERSFIELD AND WORK ON GROWTH OF BUSINESS IN THE SOUTHEAST.
Robert Russo believes that economics are the backbone and nerve center of all great communities. "I believe we live in one of the greatest cities in all of America." Attracting businesses to our community is a tremendous burden for any city. It calls for compromises and promises. However, Robert feels that that attracting the right kind of businesses with the intention of growing and staying in the community are economic keys. "I'm not going to give away the farm just to get the cow; I want businesses that want to grow with Bakersfield." Robert wants to see a new minor baseball stadium in the towns future. Continued growth in our downtown area is a high priority for Robert. Another area of concern is the re-establishing of the Northeast and East Bakersfield. "I will focus much of my time on this area, because bringing in good business for Bakersfield is good business for Bakersfield."
