Fresno County is growing, and we must plan properly to accommodate this growth. I believe the County needs to update the general plan and then stick to the plan we adopt. The update process should be open and inclusive so that cities and community groups within the County can have input. Neighborhoods, with their distinctive personalities, must be preserved; Old Fig Garden, for example, is one of the most attractive areas of Fresno, and it should be maintained and protected. The County permit process must be made more efficient and customer service oriented. |
