This is my Campaign Statement

By George Delacruz

Candidate for Supervisor; County of Contra Costa; District 5

This information is provided by the candidate
Urban limit lines must be observed to rein in uncontrolled development that is ruining our quality of life.

I will support Rational Development where we look at our need for roads, schools and other services rather than just letting developers build homes wherever they want.

I believe in bringing permanent private sector employment to East County and reducing our reliance on construction jobs that disappear when the housing boom ends.

County government must be modernized for the new millennium. I will make it easy for job-creating, responsible companies to set up and run businesses in the county. County agencies must help promote good businesses rather than blocking them.

I am committed to solving the Railroad-Loveridge Highway 4 bottleneck. That area is a major frustration to East County residents and needs someone like me who will focus on solving it.

I will represent all of you! Special interests will have no control over me.

My wife and I have owned our home in East County for eleven years and I have lived in the Bay Area all my life.

I was elected to the Bay Point Municipal Advisory Council and to the Ambrose Recreation and Park District Board of Directors.

I have the hands-on experience a supervisor needs in order to be effective. I am the only candidate with a proven track record and the experience needed to ensure that the needs of all East County residents are met.

George Delacruz will represent your interests.
