- Assisted Living and day care for seniors
-
I plan to provid funds for a pilot program to demonstrate to the state and federal government that it is much more cost effective to provide money for assisted living and day care for seniors than it is to place them in a rest home.
- Prepaid Health Plan for the working poor.
-
I plan to work with Kaiser Hospital to help them stay in Oakland. The quid pro quo is that they provide prepaid health care for the working poor of Alameda county at a below market price.
- Hosing working people can afford
-
I favor home ownership over rental.I propose to build 10,000 units at or very near BART stations in the district.
They will be coop housing or condos. The only rentals will be for seniors.
