The questions were prepared by the League of Women Voters of Hamilton County and asked of all candidates for this office. Read the answers from all candidates. Questions & Answers1. Detail policies/proposals you would advance and support to increase and improve the city's housing stock, as well as the rate of home ownership in the city of Cincinnati?
I would facilitate a wide range of home ownership opportunities throughout the city by networking with realtors, landlords, banks, mortgage company, churches, and community councils to develop a community program for citizens to own and repair dilapidated building in their neighborhoods. I also would work with city officials to establish a low income budget plan for affordable home ownership opportunities. 2. Would you move to advance or halt regional approaches to the following: public transportation, Arts council(s), management of snow removal, air quality, and water quality?
I believe regional cooperation is essential to the prosperity of the region. It is very important that city and county officials work cooperatively to implement a regional transportation system. I would support the establishment of a broad base forum for both city and county officials to work to identify regional issues. 3. Should the Cincinnati Convention Center be expanded? If so, how should the expansion be funded?
