What our users say... |
We are currently preparing to support elections in Davidson Co., Tennessee in August. See the November 1998 elections to look at Smart Voter. The next major election to be supported is November 2, 1999 when many areas elect city councils, school boards, and other important boards.
The League of Women Voters Smart Voter team is very pleased that Smart Voter was judged a finalist in the Global Bangemann Challenge. The goal of this international award program sponsored by the City of Stockholm was to honor practical and functional information technology projects that will benefit people and communities. Awards were presented on June 9, 1999 at the Nobel Hall in Stockholm, Sweden. Members of the Smart Voter team were honored to be at this event and to receive their finalist award. 18 of the finalists were presented awards as top winners by the King of Sweden.
