Experience

Tom Stewart has dedicated his career to serving average citizens in our community. As a practicing attorney for thirty-five years, Tom has served the citizens of our area in legal matters ranging from injury claims to property zoning. Tom is a 50+ year resident of our community, a graduate of Litton High School and a businessman with a proven record of leadership in improving our neighborhood Tom Stewart currently serves on the Metropolitan Industrial Development Board, working everyday to attract new industry and jobs, key to improving the quality of life for all citizens in Davidson County. Tom is a former law partner of Beverly Briley, founder of Metropolitan Government. Tom will work to fulfill the original commitment contained in the metropolitan charter..."one government responsive to all. citizens in Davidson County". Most of all Tom Stewart. is a doer.....no slick promises. Tom believes government should prioritize its programs and deliver services in an efficient, fair and cost effective manner

Family

Tom and his wife, Beth, a retired public school teacher, are a good team. Tom's sons, Allen, a graduate of the Air Force Academy is currently on active duty as a pilot (Flying in recent encounters in Iraq and Yugoslavia), while Thomas, a U.T. Chattanooga grad works with Twenty-first Century Christian Book Store. Tom and Beth are active members of the Madison Church of Christ and Brush Hill Cumberland Presbyterian churches respectively.
