Consequences for Choices

By Jay F. Wisman

Candidate for Cascade District Court Judge; Position 1

This information is provided by the candidate
We make choices, bad or good, and we must accept the consequences of those choices.
I believe in giving everyone a second chance. In District Court that often means treatment of some type. However, our senior citizens, as well as all others in our society, must be protected from those who choose to break the law.

After being given a chance to correct their behavior, should they choose to repeat criminal activity, I believe in tough punishment, jail or otherwise. This may offend some people, and legislators may not want to spend the money. However, public safety is the first reason for government.
