Judges are entrusted with tremendous responsibility. They symbolize justice and fairness. Good judges not only know the law but are also willing to listen. They must work hard and always fairly decide the issues that come before them. I will bring all of these traits to the District Court bench.

Throughout my career I have sought and held leadership positions that have allowed me to contribute positively to the quality of life in our community. For eight years I have served as a Snohomish County deputy prosecuting attorney. In that capacity, I have prosecuted hundreds of cases and all of the various kinds of criminal matters, from DUI to rape to murder.

My wife Kristi and I, with our children, make our home in Granite Falls where citizens have twice elected me to serve on the city council. As a council member I have been able to help set the direction of our city's future. I am committed to making this a better, safer place to live.

Persons who violate the law or commit civil wrongs must be held accountable. As Cascade District Court judge I will do just that, with diligence, integrity, and compassion.
