Charles "Charlie" Meyer is a 58 year old attorney (and graduate engineer) who has raised his family and practiced law in this judicial district for 22 years. He has the broad experience, the appropriate temperament and the desire necessary to be an excellent District Court Judge. He has a reputation for being fair and is a hard worker. He is a family man and is involved in his community (ie: 20 years a volunteer fireman, cub scout leader and member Snohomish County Human Services Citizens Advisory Council). His law practice has included a wide array of criminal and civil cases plus he is experienced as a municipal prosecuting attorney; experience little known to the Bar. He has had numerous jury trials and served as an arbitrator for Snohomish County Superior Court since the inception of mandatory arbitration in 1984 and has served as a Judge Pro-Tem.

A judge must not only rule correctly on the law, but must be able to communicate effectively with the litigants. This is where he shines. He believes this is important so that our society continues to respect the judicial system as an integral part of our government which is essential to our preservation.
