Action taken by the state of California in the raid on local property tax forces consolidation with Dana Point.
Robert D. Wilbergs' belief in doing what is best for his constituents will follow him to the State Assembly. While Wilberg was President of the Board of Directors, Capistrano Bay Park and Recreation District, the State of California took approximately 65% of the property tax base in the budget years 1992-93 and 1993-94 from the park district. To preserve the property tax base for the City, he voted to merge the Special District with the city of Dana Point to protect our property taxes and our parks. That kind of proven leadership is what is needed in Sacramento and he is asking for your support in this coming election.
