I have lived in the South Sacramento/Elk Grove area for most of my life. I graduated from Joseph Kerr and Elk Grove High School (class of 1995). I attended CSUS for a semester before transferring to Cedarville College in Cedarville, Ohio January of 1996. While a student at Cedarville I had the priviledge of being one of 42 students selected from the various North American Christian Colleges to attend the American Studies Program in Washington, D.C. I graduated from that program in the fall of 1996. I completed a Bachelor of the Arts Degree in History and Political Science in December of 1997, the youngest (20 years) and quickest to graduate (2 1/2 years) in my class.

While in high school and college I had the pleasure to work for 3 outstanding members of congress as an intern. In the summer of 1994 I interned in the Rancho Cordova office of Richard Pombo (CA-11). I learned a great deal there about the need for people to have a voice through their elected official. In the Fall of 1996 I interned in Washington, D.C. for Bill Baker, (CA-10). Washington taught me the importance of sound policy decisions and the need for coalition building in government. I also interned for Joe Pitts (PA-10) in 1996. Joe had just been elected and I was able to play a role in the organization of his office and staff. In addition to interning I was also able to serve as a volunteer in the D.C. headquarters of Dole-Kemp '96.

After graduating I moved home to Elk Grove again where I accepted a position as Campaign Coordinator Director of the Sacramento Area Hispanic Outreach Committee, Unidos con Lungren '98. I also worked as Communications Director for Joe Piazza for Assembly '98. Both campaigns have provided me a greater understanding of the community and people of Elk Grove. I am currently a first year student at U.C. Davis King Hall law school.

My father, Lyn, is Deputy Chief in charge of statewide communications for the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. My mother, Debbie, is a Staf Development Technician for the Elk Grove Unified School District. I have one sibling, Tara, a Junior Business Administration Major at Southern California College in Costa Mesa.

Community Activities:
-Youth Soccer Referee
-Coach, Elk Grove High School Mock Trial Team
