Tustin Base Re-useBy S. Scott "Scott" WebsterCandidate for Member, City Council; City of Tustin | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
A 20+ year, billion dollar, multi phased project that will redefine Tustin, Orange County and the State of California for the next Century.I am the only candidate with Federal Government Contracting experience. My 12 years with Hughes Aircraft Company qualify me to be Tustin's representative in dealings with the Federal Government. During my tenure at Hughes, my responsibilities were as Controller of 2 divisions with annual sales of $140M and 700 employees in the US and 6 countries worldwide. We need big, long term strategic thinking when dealing with the Tustin Base Re-use plan. My opponents lack this large multi-national experience in submitting proposals, reviewing the costs, benefits and finally negotiating a winning relationship with the Federal Government in this Base Closure/Privatization plan. |
