Full Biography for Ben Ventresco

Candidate for
Member, City Council; City of Huntington Beach

Council candidate Ben Ventresco is 43 years old. Married to Teresa and are residents of southeast Huntington Beach.

I started my first career in the enviromental field protecting Southern Californias ocean waters and air quality. I have spent a total of 20 years with both the Orange County Sanitation Districts and the City of Los Angeles supervising and operating wastewater treatment plants.I still maintain my managers certification issued by the State Water Resources Control Board. I Have worked closely with the EPA, SWRCB, SCAQMD and many other agencies over my 20 year enviromental career. This experience will be most valuble to our city as a council member. After retiring from the enviromental field I turned my love of the outdoors into a retail business which will celebrate its 3rd anniversary of successful business on November 1st this year.

I am running for city council because I have watched our city continue to slide over the last few years from being a Southern California leader in to a city that won't be able to keeps its head above water in the coming years. We must start thinking now about our city for our future and our childrens future. If elected I will bring a modern 21st century business approach to the city and not the "Business As Usual", "Special Interest" and "Hidden Agenda" thinking we have now.
