NEW LEADERSHIP FOR CYPRESS

Frann Shermet, a 30 year resident of Cypress, seeks to bring her professional expertise to city government. After years of urging from her many friends and associates, Frann has decided to run for City Council.

Frann has been the Executive Coordinator for the United States Academic Decathlon for 10 years. Having the opportunity to work with, educators, CEOs, business leaders, and government officials, including the White House, adds to her list of qualifications.

She served as Public Service Supervisor for the State of California for 15 years, working with corporations and individuals. Frann has a background in finance, taxation, management, and public relations.

Frann and Dick Shermet have been married for 41 years and raised two children in the City of Cypress. Daughter Lyn Liby works for the Orange County Register in the advertising department. Son David, a former professional baseball player with the Houston Astros, is a Cruise Director for Holland America Lines. Frann and Dick have two grandsons; Chris and Nick Liby.
