As your City Attorney, I have worked to make sure Huntington Beach is safe for families and businesses. I have amassed an impressive record of legal victories for the taxpayers.

I drafted the "loud party ordinance" to return peace and quite to our neighborhoods.

I drafted the "Panhandling Ordinance" that protects residents from aggressive vagrants.

I drafted the "anti-graffiti vandalism ordinance" to crack down on the thugs that deface our community.

Using technology, I have reduced my office budget 14% and my staff 20%.

I spearheaded efforts to recover $50 million in bankruptcy losses from Wall Street brokers. To date, $35 million has been recovered due to my vigilance.

Obtained a $1.3 million settlement from a computer supplier to help our police acquire an effective computer-aided dispatch system.

Secured a $18 million verdict in the American Trader oil spill case. $6 million for Huntington Beach.

Supervised a successful defense of a tragic quadriplegic bicycle injury case on PCH. (Haserot v. City) - $29 million demand, we proved the accident could not have happened as described by plaintiff. Judgement for defense.

Introduced and drafted a new Admin. Citation Process which will gain greater compliance with City Codes. Increased City revenue from fines. Decriminalized enforcement prosecution. Preserved citizen's appeal rights.

My office is working with neighbors and the police department on the Nuisance Task Force to clean up blighted areas of the community.
