This information is provided by the candidate

My husband Brian and I attended the first meeting of the Wilshire Square Neighborhood shortly after buying our fist home on Van Ness. Four years later, when we decided we wanted a larger home, we realized we didn't want to leave Santa Ana or Wilshire Square. We bought our bigger home two blocks away on Birch Street. We have both served as Chairman of the neighborhood organization. I have also served the neighborhood as Treasurer for many years, Secretary, and have chaired two of the neighborhoods historic home tours.

I worked to establish an environmental board in the city along with Larry Hitterdale of Saddleback View and then-citycouncilman Miguel Pulido. The result was the Environmental and Transportation Advisory Committee (ETAC). I have served six years on ETAC and am currentely completing my second term as Chairperson.

I am a graduate of the Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce Leadership Santa Ana program. This is a nine month program that presents a wide range of subjects to the participants, providing insight to the complexities of each subject and access to the decision makers. The subjects included governement's role, health and safety, education, the media, transportation, and art and science. At the conclusion of the program I worked as part of the alumni organization to keep the program sessions up to date and also acted as moderator for selected sessions in following years.

I grew up in the city of Orange where I graduated from El Modena High School. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cal State Fullertion in Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Management Information Systems. I have worked as a Programmer/Analyst and later as a Project Leader for Ford Aerospace. I am currently employed as a Project Manager by Ernst & Young in the Management Consulting Practice at the Year 2000 Accelerated Conversion Center.
