Brief Position Statement

By Susan S. Stompe

Candidate for Supervisor; Marin County; District 5

A brief note from Susan to other residents of City of Novato and the County Marin.
Dear Neighbor,

I am running for the Marin County Board of Supervisors because I'm tired of watching one development after another get approved without a clear transportation plan in place. I want to put an end to government that is unresponsive to local needs. Marin residents deserve progress that serves existingcommunities, rather than a blind rush toward maximum build-out. We can't continue down the same path we've been on for the last 5 years.

As a 28-year resident of San Marin and a local business owner, I understand the need to sustain our economy and our quality of life. The easily developed land in our community has been developed. Most of the remaining parcels are prone to landslides, flooding or earthquake failure likely to be fraught with safety problems. As your Supervisor I will put public safety ahead of private developer interests.

I have experience solving tough problems at both City and County levels. Consistency, hard work and commitment to this community can be counted on when I'm elected to the Board of Supervisors.

I would appreciate your vote on November 3rd. Please feel free to contact me at 897-1610 or SSStompe@aol.com if you have any questions.
