Full Biography for Roger Riley

Candidate for
Governing Board Member; Richland-Lerdo School District

I have lived in Shafter for over 20 years and have had the privilege of having three of my children complete Richland schools. My fourth child is now a first grader at Richland and my wife and I look forward to her having the same quailty education as her brothers and sister.

I grew up in the farming communities of Kern County and am the only one in my family to go to college. It is through the experiencing of the importance of education that I support and promote public education. I currently work for the Kern High School District where I coordinate the agriculture programs. I have seen many times how the differences in early education effects students success.

With over 20 years in education I will bring an expertise to the School Board to help insure that our children have the opportunity for the very best education.
