POSITION PAPER: NCFPD BOARD

There is no substitute for intelligent planning.
We have been blessed in the North Central area with the absolute best in fire and injury protection. We have outstaning firefighters and a superlative chief. The record is one we should all take a tremendous amount of pride in, the legacy of past Boards is to be applauded. However, we fall upon times of tremendous decision making. We have equiptment and vehicles aging to the point of danger - equiptment that is extremely expensive. We have firefighters who should be paid competitively with firefighers from around the state. The act of making these two happen with a minimal budget is going to take a tremendous amount of planning, some tough decisions and the ability to develop a sensible plan and stick to it. I believe I am the candidtate to do this. I am not in anyone's pocket other than the electorate. This is why I run together with incumants Les Ahlenslager and Richerd Goulart -- good trustees who have done excellent work for the District. I can make a difference, I believe, and I can help make those kinds of fiscal and personnal decisions that can keep the District top-notch and keep you safe. I have no secret agenda. I have two young children that are the light of my life. Keeping them and my wife safe is the sole source of interest for me. It should be the same for you. Everyone, I believe, has a right to be safe!
