Full Biography for Jeff Hatch-Miller

State Representative; District 26

Jeff Hatch-Miller established his residence in Arizona over twenty-two years ago. He has been married for seventeen years to Anita. Jeff and Anita have sixteen-year-old twin sons. Jeff grew up on a farm in the Central valley of California, attended public schools, and received a BA and teaching certificate from California State University at Stanislaus in 1969. He is proud to have served as a radio teletype operator with the United States Army National Guard from 1966 to 1972. After a year of teaching, he returned to school to complete a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Northern Colorado (1974).

During the course of several trips through the Southwest, Jeff fell in love with Arizona. He moved here in 1976 and has remained here since. After several years in Phoenix, where he headed the Arizona Diagnostic Development Project, coordinating psychological and educational evaluation services, he moved with Anita to Prescott. It was there that twin sons, Mark and Rob, were born.

Jeff is the owner of Communication Dimensions, Inc. In its early years, the company provided and coordinated evaluation services to both private clients, and agencies such as the Department of Economic Security and the county juvenile courts. Through the years, the company's focus changed and began to provide much more extensive consulting, training, and facilitation, particularly in the areas of communication, organizational development, and the pursuit of excellence. Some of its clients have included Cigna, America West Airlines, US Bureau of Land Management, US Forest Services, Heil - Brice Retail Advertising, Yavapai College and Terros. Recently the firm expanded its services to include electronic commerce.

From 1990 into 1996 Jeff served as a community and economic development agent for the University of Arizona. In that position he worked with chambers of commerce, governments and citizen groups providing leadership development, public policy education and economic development consultation throughout northern Arizona.

In 1996 Jeff and his family moved to District 26. He has been an active member of the Republican Party and on September 8, 1998 was nominated as the party's candidate for the Arizona State House of Representatives. He headed the 1996 Presidential Election Arizona vote by mail drive, the District 26 voter registration drive, and serves as a Board Member of District 26.

Jeff is a graduate of Scottsdale Leadership class 12, is active in Toastmasters, produces video documentaries, and volunteers with his wife at St. Maria Goretti teaching marriage preparation classes.
