Political Philosophy for Linda J. Gray

Candidate for
State Representative; District 16

This information is provided by the candidate

I consider the office of State Representative to be an awesome responsibility. "Don't try to justify what your conscience condems" is what I apply when I make decisions. I would be honored to continue serving you.

I believe strongly in the importance of family and community service. My husband, Larry, is a Phoenix Police Lieutenant and served the department for 29 years. Larry Jr. served in the US Navy for 6 years. My daughter is a junior at the University of Northern Arizona and has set goals to be a teacher.

Students must achieve and not be passed on grade to grade. Children should know how to read by third grade or be placed into an intensive researched based reading program.

I have supported the "safe schools" funding to provide resource officers to deal with truancy and drugs on campuses.
