My name is Gary Fallon and I am running for State Senate in District 24. I was a life long Republican until I discovered that Republican politicians, like Democrat politicians, support socialism over freedom.

I believe in individual liberty and self responsibility. If you act responsibly, then you should be left alone. That is, if you are peaceful and honest in your dealings with others, no force should be used against you by government or anyone else. With freedom comes responsibility.

Oh yes, you'll hear Senator John McCain, U.S. House Leader Newt Gingrich, and Governor Jane Hull use the same words: "liberty", "freedom" and "responsibility". However, these Republicans support the same collectivist agenda as Bill Clinton and Paul Johnson except they have slightly different priorities on how to spend your money and regulate your life. Unfortunately, the general principle of "spend and regulate" are the same. Here's five undeniable truths:

FACT: The 1994/1996 Republican Congress is spending more money than the socialist Democrats they replaced. Republican Revolution? No, Republican Evolution!

FACT: Arizona has had a Republican Governor, a Republican controlled Senate, and a Republican controlled House since 1993, yet the State Budget has grown each year and by 29% over the six year period.

FACT: Since 1993, the Arizona Republicans have increased regulations by imposing over 1,900 new laws on its citizens and businesses.

FACT: Since 1993, the Arizona Republicans have increased the per capita spending every year.

FACT: Since 1993, the Arizona Republicans have increased General Fund Appropriations to nearly every major agency and department.

Is this what you call change or more of the same? But the Republican politicians are telling you that they are implementing radical reforms to restore a more free society. Lets consider this analogy: If a husband beats his wife yet says he loves her, which is true? Then why do you continue to believe these Republican hypocrits?

Restoring a society based on liberty, not coercion, will require real poltical reform. That means replacing collectivists that have created the problem. It is time for you to reject socialism and leave the Republican Party. The Libertarian Party is ready to repeal the unjust laws imposed by the self-serving Republican and Democrat politicians.

Please be part of the solution and vote for me and other Libertarian Candidates on November 3, 1998!
