1. ALL Government entities have sky-rocketed 4 & 5 times faster than the rate of inflation and population growth in the last 10 to 20 years. Pick any time period, it's the same. They are all broke and asking for more and more. 2. Headwaters is a great example of government interfering in private property. There is about 200,000 acres in Redwood parks (100,000 old growth). A very small portion is used by the public. It's prime timber growing land and its not growing. There will be the same volume in 10 or 50 years. The Looney bureaucrats that are making the deal are doing 3 things. Giving Mr. Horowitz a sweet deal, eliminating good jobs and making houses more expensive. 3. We can solve the education problem simply - COMPETITION. Institute the Voucher System. Eliminate all tenure. Both of these are monopolies, and monopolies go only one way - to pieces. Since everyone pays for public colleges, there should be a Lottery draw for who gets in. That takes care of affirmative action. Anything else is Educational Bigotry. |
