I was born and raised in Belmont, and am now a homeowner. My family has lived here since 1931. I have been involved in Belmont for almost three decades. In the early 1970's I worked on the successful effort to preserve Twin Pines Park and the defeat of a plan to build a massive double-decker overpass at Ralston and El Camino. I knew these issues were important for future generations of Belmont.
Qualifications:
Planning Commissioner, 3 1/2 years, elected Chairperson Spring 1997 Belmont Park Boosters Board Member, 15 years Central Homeowners Association Member, 3 years Belmont Historical Society Member, 2 years Save Historic Hydrant Committee Co-Chair, 1996-Current Open Space Task Force Member (1993-94) Belmont School District's Facility Development Advisory Committee -- recommended reopening Cipriani School and building a new school. Goal achieved. Regularly attend City Council meetings As Planning Commissioner, I am proud to have been involved in the following major projects, many of which are revenue enhancing for our City:
