Education & Qualifications:

B.S. Accounting, U.S.F.

Four years ago I asked for your vote so that I could become your City
Treasurer. I thank you for granting my request. It has been a rewarding
experience and I am asking for another four years as your City Treasurer. I
have followed the three principles of this position; (a) Safety; (b) Liquidity
and (c) Yield. I have invested your money at reasonably safe rates with the
Local Agency Investment Fund (State of California Fund) and the County Fund at
the San Mateo County Treasurer's Office. Interest rates have fluctuated between
5.5% to 6% during this past year in both funds. In these past two fiscal years
ending June 30, 1997, the City has earned in excess of one million dollars in
interest each year.

I believe my past City Council and City Treasurer experience, in addition to my
financial background, demonstrates the qualifications required to fill this
position for another four years. I commit to you again, that I will handle the
City's money as if it were my own.

Again, thank you for your vote in 1993 and once more, I am asking for your vote
this November 4.
