We must see to it that the curriculum we offer in our schools is preparing our students for mastery of basic skills and creative problem solving. We must ensure that the staff who is delivering this curriculum is the finest we can recruit and support. We need to encourage parents to participate in their children's education. Parents need to make education a priority. This interest in the educational process must extend to the broader community. Healthy communities and healthy schools are not mutually exclusive. If these conditions exist, our schools have every reason to be successful.
