It appears that even our opponents agree with the work we have started to work more closely with the Half Moon Bay Fire District. This was my idea and I look forward to continuing the work that I have started.
I also want to see spending kept in check consistent with maintaining the mission of the fire service which is safety of lives and property. I am alarmed at what appears to be Dave Lewis' "tax and spend" platform and his ignorance of how a financially sound organization should be run. I am concerned that the citizens maintain control over the fire district through their responsible elected representatives rather than have a Board which represents small, selfish special interests.
