Jerry Chapman	Age: 52
Occupation: Building Inspector San Mateo County

Education and Qualifications:

I have been a resident in Belmont since 1973 and have been involved in many of
the activities offered to the citizens here. Among those activities are youth
programs and Park Boosters. I have always shown an interest in Belmont
government, and have noticed, of late, how often Belmont Government is
mentioned in a negative way. Belmont seems to be in a tail spin and not able to
keep personnel in top management and are over budget on the grade separation,
nor do many of its city departments function cooperatively with each other nor
with "we the people of Belmont."

It is time to bring Belmont into a new dimension, one of courtesy, and
cooperation with its citizens.

I have been self employed for over 25 years and have had to meet payroll and
budgeting needs on an ongoing basis. I understand the needs of home owner and
businessmen alike. I am now an employee of the County of San Mateo, in the
capacity of Building Inspector.

If elected in November I will work for a more "User friendly government".

My education never ends as I am continually in search for answers and in
solving old and new problems.
