Government is only as good as those we elect. Too often good people are scared away from running because of the tremendous amount of cynicism in this country. The result is that we often lose out on having a chance to vote for those who would have otherwise been the best candidates. I believe that running and serving in public office are noble things to do and I am proud to be doing it.
Redwood City will never be what it was 30 years ago, but we have the potential to be something even greater. The city that I envision a city that is relatively free of crime and drugs, a city with a thriving downtown like other cities on the peninsula, and a city that is clean and beautiful. I really believe that can happen. If elected, I will work hard to realize that potential.
