The core of my bid for City Council is understanding the needs of Burlingame homeowners threatened by overdevelopment and the overcrowding it brings. My on-going experience fighting a massive condominium project in our neighborhood has made me acutely aware of the flaws in the current Building Code and the need for design review. New construction, especially "monster houses", are destroying Burlingame's charm and liveability, and I will fight them. I worry about school overcrowding, traffic, and the plight of the local Burlingame merchant.
