I have two children, Jonathan is a six grader at Miller, and Christina is a fourth grader at Faria. I have been a school site council member at Faria school for six years. I have been active in several district committees including Local Improvement Panel, DATE (Drug, Alcohol, and Tobacco Education), and Information System. I attended School Board meetings regularly, and spoke on issues related to Superintendent search, special education, and various other issues. For the last two years, I was president of a parent group which received 1997 CREST award from city of Cupertino. The CREST award is the honorary service award for volunteering in the community. I was an Apple volunteer at Nimitz school, I also taught Enterprise in Action last semester at Rogers Middle School in Moreland School District. I attend church regularly and teach Sunday school classes. I am data base coordinator for Lyceum, which is a program for gifted children. Running for School Board is a natural extension for my service to the community.
